Quick Catch-up Post

I've been a very bad blogger of late, not posting anything and using the recent arrival of #babyparkins, aka James, as an excuse...

So while everyone else has been very busy being desktop activists and blogging #speakZA against those who would seek to silence the media for speaking out against hate speech and racist incitement, I have been enjoying time spent safely cocooned at home with my beautiful new baby boy and his adorable siblings. I barely took the time to post a contribution to National Cleavage Day... Which also happened to be my mom's 50th birthday.

We celebrated with a big braai at my mom's house. There was chicken, wors, cheese & garlic potato bake, onion pie, salad and the most tender, succulent fillet you can imagine, followed by a strawberry mousse pudding and a chocolate-hazelnut tart. I was too busy enjoying all this delicious food to take any photos...

It was James' first afternoon/evening out and he handled it very well for most of the duration of the party, but eventually he'd had enough and we brought the little guy home.

Anyway, the point of this post is simply to let you all know that I've been reading your blogs, even if I don't comment, and I've been following your tweets, too. I'm just taking some time to make the necessary adjustments to the day to day routine around here in order to make it possible to accommodate all the things that are required of me. Posting is likely to be light for a while as we work through the school holidays to catch up on the school we've missed since James arrived. I'm also looking into some of my various business ideas again, in the hope that I might now be able to go somewhere with one of them...
